Ghassan Aboud is a USE based international entrepreneur and philanthropist. He is the promoter and the Chairman of the multi-business conglomerate, the Ghassan Aboud Group (GAG).

The group is engaged in several key business sectors including Automobiles, Hospitality, Real Estate, Retail, Media, Catering, Logistics and Pastoral.

GAG has its global headquarters and a world-class logistics hub in the UAE, complemented by offices in Australia, Belgium, China, Jordan and Turkey.

From a modest beginning in business in trading of automobiles in 1994, Ghassan built a highly successful and widely entrenched automotive supply chain impacting more than 100 countries. Today, his automotive business is one of the world leaders, that manages a robust international supply chain for multiple global brands.

After achieving sustained success in the group’s flagship automotive business, in 2008 Ghassan promoted Live Point – a Middle Eastern media company engaged in production, broadcasting, news agency training centre and online entertainment channel. And thereafter Orient News - an exclusive cultural, political and social television/radio house.

In his current investment plans, Ghassan’s focus is centered on establishing a substantial portfolio of hospitality and real estate assets in Australia at strategic locations. Towards this end GAG’s stated investment commitment is AUD 1 Billion, being deployed in acquisition, development and management of prime hospitality, tourism and related assets.

In addition, as a diversification and growth strategy, Ghassan forayed into the Retail business sector in the UAE, having launched a chain of themed “Grandiose” supermarkets in the country. Grandiose seeks to create a niche in the regional retail industry, with a high quality yet affordable product range.

Furthermore, he established GAG’s real estate business (Elements Properties) aimed at creating a superior-style community living in the UAE.

As a passionate and active philanthropist, Ghassan is a firm believer in social responsibility. Through sustained long-term support initiatives, Ghassan made a significant impact for the underprivileged. Beneficiaries include refugees, people with disabilities, destitute women and others in need of food and healthcare.

Ghassan completed his Bachelor Degree with distinction in Journalism from the University of Damascus. He holds a Belgian passport and lives with his family in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Ghassan has won several recognitions – and recently was included amongst Forbes Most Influential Expats in the UAE and was also awarded as the Leading Hospitality Investor by Hotel News Middle East.

GAG’s real estate business (Elements Properties) is engaged in residential development across key locations, aimed at creating a superior-style community living in the UAE. The business has gained traction with the imminent launch of completed residential, freehold projects in Dubai.

As a passionate and active philanthropist, Ghassan is a firm believer in social responsibility. Through personal contributions to his organization Orient Humanitarian, Ghassan made a significant impact for the underprivileged. Orient is renowned for well-organized initiatives that include medical, educational and rehabilitation projects. Beneficiaries include refugees, people with disabilities, destitute women and others in need of food and healthcare.

Ghassan completed his Bachelor Degree with distinction in Journalism from the University of Damascus. He holds a Belgian passport and lives with his family between Dubai, United Arab Emirates and Brussels, Belgium.
